In 1936, Bandon by the Sea went from a bustling coastal town to a mass of rubble, engulfed by fire. What remained after the great blaze were chimneys and melted glass. From dishes to jewelry boxes, windows, trinkets and more, the glass melted and mixed. Capturing bits of its surroundings, it reformed and cooled, a new existence for that which would not turn to ashes.
